About Anushka Shirali

By assisting team members in making the connections between research and practice, ensuring inclusivity, and facilitating results-focused conversations, no one loses sight of the long-term vision of advancing student outcomes.  Anushka supports teams to leverage thinking and maximize returns on investment. She discovers team members’ strengths, nurtures growth-focused mindsets, and motivates teams toward continuous improvement, all of which supports the delivery of high-quality service to clients.

Over the past 14 years, Anushka has worked with government agencies, in the nonprofit sector, and with a major international university, providing a wide variety of services from education product development and stakeholder engagement to training and technical assistance. Her leadership certificate from the Association of Talent Development has given her the tools needed to align the team’s leadership development program to the Region 14 Comprehensive Center’s culture, vision, mission, and goals, as well as competencies, customers' requirements, and business needs.

 

Career Highlights

  • Designed the Region 14 Comprehensive Center's management processes, outlined roles and responsibilities, and managed internal staff training around technical assistance best practices.
  • As the Innovations Lead for the Northeast Comprehensive Center, Anushka negotiated the diverse and complex viewpoints of various groups of high-impact stakeholders across New York State (NYS) to ensure the completion of the NYS Computer Science Standards on an aggressive 15-month timeline.
  • Anushka was selected as one of the youngest faculty members at St. Xavier’s College, Mumbai, to teach psychology to 100+ students per year within the Mass Media department. She was also recognized for connecting subject matter to real-life and career examples, bringing in industry experts and leveraging technology to enable students to connect with peers globally and share knowledge with other faculty members.
